“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God…” Isaiah 43: 2-3
The Lord is everywhere
And always perfect:
What does He care for man’s sin
Or the righteousness of man? Bhagavad Gita: The Song of God
I believe Light is all there is. This means all things are made of Light. It also means Light interpenetrates all time, all space, all realities and all experiences.
I put this idea to my mother about the Light of God being present in all things, even what we consider to be “evil.”
“Did you know God is in guns?”
“I can’t believe God that is good can be in a weapon that can kill.”
“Do you believe God is omnipresent?”
“Yes, I do.”
“This means God is in all space including this room we are in now, right?”
“Yes, He is.”
“What if two people were fighting right here in this room and one shot another? Do you agree that regardless of their actions, God is still in this room, in the people and in the weapon?”
“I see what you mean? God is in everything, it’s just that we don’t see things that way. We tend to think that God can’t be in something evil.”
“The Light of God is all that is Perfection and Goodness and in everything, regardless of whether we see it as good or evil. We simply need to realise that God’s Light is the only reality and our experiences will reflect this.”
One of my favourite films is The Truman Show. Truman is an orphan who has been living in a TV show since he was a baby. Everyone around him – his family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, acquaintances, everyone in the town – are actors. In Truman’s world there are days and nights, changing of the seasons, and nature. The show is so convincing that for many years Truman believes he’s living in the real world. In truth, it is the producers of the show and the TV audience who are living in the real world.
Although Truman’s reality appears to be unreal, his reality is nevertheless interdependent with the “real world.” This means that in order to sustain Truman’s reality of having a job, running a car, having a house, shopping, socialising with friends; experiencing seasonal changes, climatic conditions and night and day, the producer and his team are constantly providing Truman with all he needs. Put another way, the power from the producer’s world interpenetrates Truman’s world. This power is the equivalent of Infinite Light/God that interpenetrates all time and space.
One day Truman falls in love with an actress in the show. She tries to convince him that his life isn’t real, but she’s quickly removed from the show. The producer arrange for Truman to meet another actress and they end up getting married. Truman never forgets his one true love and vows that one day he’s going to go looking for her. This desire spurs him on until he starts to realise that the world is not as it appears. When he discovers the whole Truth, the producer of the show, Truman’s adopted father, tries to convince him to stay, but Truman bows out of the show leaving his “father” devastated.
I believe this reality called earth is another version of The Truman Show. Many people believe it is the only reality when in actual fact it is one of many sub-plots within a grander play. Although more and more people are now waking up to the truth that there is a lot more to life than appearances, the illusion is so compelling that once you wake out of one sub-plot, you find yourself caught up in another plot. To wake up the way Truman did in the show, you have to realise that there is only One Light that is all and in all.
When I “woke” up to the ONE I started seeing the human experience, and many other realities like it, as nothing but a grand TV show with excellent entertainment.
Speaking of entertainment, I watched a programme on television the other night called Extinct. The programme makers were trying to raise awareness about animals in danger of extinction. The idea was the audience should vote to save their favourite animal under threat. Half of the money raised would go to the winning animal and the other half would be divided equally to help save the other animals. The tiger ended up winning the lion’s share. Haha.
While the reporters and celebrities were harping on about saving the planet and animals from extinction, I could only see the Light that is in all forms including the animals and the very places they believe needed protection. How can Light need protection when the Light is perfection? Nothing can be added to or taken away from perfection. Still, it was an entertaining show and well worth watching.
The wonderful thing about seeing the Light is I have no interest in convincing others to see things my way. Who cares what stories the media comes up with? Who cares what the government believes? Who cares what nutrition experts tell us is good for us. I mean, if I really cared I wouldn’t be eating tissue paper, would I? I happen to love tissue paper. All I care about is focusing on the truth, as I see it, that Light interpenetrates all forms and all realities. This means that
Light is in sickness and health.
Light is in wealth and poverty.
Light is in pain and pleasure.
Light is in peace and war including weapons of mass destruction.
Light is in thoughts and emotions.
Light is in all experiences we define as “good” or “evil.”
Does having the realisation that Light is all mean the world is going to be transformed and we’ll have lasting peace. Yes, but only for ones who have this vision. I’ve met people who have told me how uplifted they have been in my presence but the moment they return to their “reality” they’re back to normal, whatever that means. This is because while I’m sharing my vision, my friends are experiencing joy as I experience joy. Being with me is the equivalent of taking drugs; you get high for a short time. If you want to experience joy all the time, you’re going to have to be your real self that is Light; joy is only one of His many attributes.
Here’s an interesting experience I’ve just had. While I was working on another article, a man came over to me.
He said, “I just want you know that you had no right speaking to me the way you did. Don’t you ever do that again.”
Huh? I’ve never spoken to the man, at least not in my reality. I didn’t try to reason with him as he seemed to be dreaming, I simply thought that the Light of Love is everyhere present even my deluded friend, and returned to my writing.
Light is all in all.
